Comprehensive Process
At FIP, our rigorous repair and refurbishment process will give your equipment new life—meeting or exceeding the performance standards of the original unit. Before any inspection begins, a thorough dialog about each unit is a must. Are any issues reoccurring? Does it perform as designed? Are any changes needed in the design? What failures, problems, or issues occur in what climates? Do the hydraulics perform as designed? Do they need constant repair? Where are the high maintenance items and unexpected failures on the unit? Weird noises? Weird shifts? Excessive vibrations? Same bolts coming loose?
Drains, cleanouts, injection points, process and measurement and winterization adders should be discussed with customer as well as any upgrades or deletions of components. Something as simple as more or upgraded work lights make a huge difference in key areas.
The unit should first be completely cleaned before inspection and teardown especially engines (top and bottom, in between), pumps, and hydraulic components. This will aid in inspection and repair time and overall quality. Our technicians then perform a careful visual inspection of the equipment, including frac pumps, blenders and hydration units. Based on the inspection and the level of refurb desired by the customer, our technicians develop a task list complete with man hours, customized based on the scope of work you’d like performed. Expanded Facilities
We’re dedicated to offering the best refurb solutions for our customers. By expanding our services and facility production capabilities, we’re taking our commitment to another level. We’ve doubled our production capabilities in the past couple years. Currently, our fabrication shop in Fort Worth features 100,000 sq. ft. of production space. Our final completion facility occupies ten acres of land in Fort Worth, with 45,000 sq. ft. of production space, used for electronics, hydraulics and final testing. We have also recently expanded and upgraded our fully equipped test pad, which allows us to ensure any equipment is fully ready for operation.
